FIX THREE : Generic Monitor Driver must be removed.

If the problem persists after switching out the display cable or reconnecting the monitor.
The Generic Monitor Driver can then be removed.

Is uninstalling the default PnP monitor driver safe?

You must be wondering if you remove the generic driver, would the monitor display still be visible?
No, the screen on your monitor won't stop working.
Windows will switch back to the default driver that was used during the initial OS installation or a standard driver.
To put it another way, Windows will identify it as newly connected hardware and will immediately install the drivers.
Do take the following actions:

Step 1: Right-click the start button and select Device Manager from the WinX Menu to launch it.

With any luck, Windows will now identify the monitor and install the proper monitor driver rather than Generic. Try the next approach if it doesn't work for you.
